About Our Chinese Seniors Program
The Neighbourhood Group’s Chinese Seniors Program has provided programs and services to Cantonese and Mandarin-speaking seniors for over 30 years and during the pandemic, we were able to pivot and deliver all of our programs online. This year, we are happy to re-open our in-person programs and continue to follow health and safety guidelines. We continued to provide vital care and social services to 180 seniors. Every week, seniors come together virtually and in person to do yoga, celebrate holidays, sing or participate in educational workshops. These programs are vital in keeping seniors connected and combating feelings of loneliness and isolation. These are essential for isolated seniors at any time.
