We're working to ensure the Canada Disability Benefit is fully funded in the 2024 Federal Budget!

The Canada Disability Benefit Act (Bill C-22) was passed into law by all parties in June 2023. But no funding has been committed and people with disabilities cannot afford to wait any longer.

Together with the Daily Food bank and other partners, we'll be doing a phone blitz between Monday, March 4 to Friday, March 15, 2024 to help defend the Disability Benefit!

In Canada, 1 in 7 people receiving disability related benefits rely on food banks to make ends meet. In Ontario, 1 in 3 food bank clients rely on disability related benefits.

This is unacceptable. We know that disability can lead to many extra costs and I am looking to you to take action. A fully funded benefit would help lift people with disabilities out of poverty.
