If you’ve been laid off and are looking to start a new career, we can help! Run by Employment Ontario, Better Jobs Ontario gives you the skills, training and financial support you need to find a job in a new field where employers are hiring.​

You must have:

  • Been laid-off and have not been working, or are working a temporary job to cover costs; or
  • Not been laid-off but have been unemployed for more than six months and are part of a low-income household
You can still apply if you receive one or more of:
  • Employment Insurance (EI)
  • Ontario Works (OW)
  • Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
To register for Better Jobs Ontario, you need to apply from an employment agency, like The Neighbourhood Group. When you contact us, we’ll help you:
