The Neighbourhood Group Community Services is grateful for a newly awarded Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) Seed grant in support of the Food Security Innovation Project at our Teesdale Food Bank. The support will include four paid peer worker positions filled by food bank participants. 
  
The OTF Seed grant increases our capacity to serve additional people and address the root causes of food insecurity. And by employing peer workers, they get paid work and the chance to give back by using their lived experience to connect with other people going through the same struggles and hardships peers themselves faced.
