With food prices going up every day, the problem of food security for vulnerable people in Toronto is getting worse. At The Neighbourhood Group, we're tackling the issue by offering different programs to help people most impacted by the food security crisis.

Community Gardening
Join us to grow your own food, help the environment and meet new people! We'll talk about indoor gardening, making your own fertilizer, and even the benefits of gardening to your mental health.

Teesdale Community Food Bank
The Teesdale Community Food Bank provides healthy, nutritious food to people who live in the Teesdale neighbourhood.

When: Tuesday, 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Where: 40 Teesdale Place

Our efforts to improve food security for the vulnerable people in Toronto doesn't stop at our Community Dinner, Community Garden and Teesdale Food Bank. Our Meals on Wheels program has been operating for 50 years, we offer dining programs for seniors while our drop-in programs have meals and snacks.

  • What does it mean to be a Good Food Organization?
    It means we are committed to working towards a healthy and fair food system for all. As a Good Food Organization, we're connected with over 300 organizations to improve food security for communities across the country and beyond. 

     

  • Do you need volunteers?
    Yes! We always welcome new volunteers at our Food Bank! There are three different positions available: Administrative and Data-Entry, Preparation and Set-Up, and Distribution and Clean-Up. It's easy to sign up online!
