With food prices going up every day, the problem of food security for vulnerable people in Toronto is getting worse. At The Neighbourhood Group, we're tackling the issue by offering different programs to help people most impacted by the food security crisis. These include our Teesdale Food Bank and Community Dinner.
Our Community Dinner is open to everyone in the community. Each Thursday, we serve a free home-cooked meal for up to 150 people. The Community Dinner also celebrates special occasions throughout the year.
Our efforts to improve food security for the vulnerable people in Toronto doesn't stop at our Community Dinner, Community Garden and Teesdale Food Bank. Our Meals on Wheels program has been operating for 50 years, we offer dining programs for seniors while our drop-in programs have meals and snacks.
It means we are committed to working towards a healthy and fair food system for all. As a Good Food Organization, we're connected with over 300 organizations to improve food security for communities across the country and beyond.
