If you’re out of school, out of work and looking to gain new work experience, YouthWorks Opportunities is for you. This 18-week program gives you 6 weeks of professional skill building, and access to resources and an employment coach to find and secure a 12-week work opportuntity.

Information Session
You must attend the information session to register for YouthWorks Opportunties. The sessions will run until early April. Please contact Darcy at Darcy.Losell@tngcs.org to register.

Eligibility
You are eligible if:
  • You are between the ages of 15 - 30 years old when the program starts
  • You are both out of work and out of school and not planning to go to school in 2026.
  • You are allowed to work in Canada and have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) and able to show proof.
  • You are a Canadian citizen, a Permanent Resident, a protected person or a convention refugee and able to show proof of your immigration status.
  • You attend one of the information sessions before registering for YouthWorks Opportunties.

The deadline to apply for the next group is April 3. You must attend an information session before registering. 

When you join YouthWorks Opportunities, you get certifications in:

  • Conflict Resolution and Communication
  • Standard First Aid/CPR Level C-AED
  • Customer Service Excellence (otec.org)
