YouthWorks Opportunities

Registration for our Spring YouthWorks program has closed.

Thank you for your interest in the YWO Program. Registration for the April group has now closed and we are longer accepting applications or referrals at this time. We will be holding recruitment events this coming Summer in July for a late August Group (Danforth) location.

If you’re out of school, out of work and looking to gain new work experience, YouthWorks Opportunities is for you. This 18-week program gives you the professional skills you need to find a job, a 12-week job placement, and life skills to support you throughout your journey.

Information Session

You must attend an information session to register for YouthWorks Opportunties. The sessions will start running in July. Please watch for more information.

Eligibility

You are eligible if:

  • You are between the ages of 15 -30 years old when the program starts.

  • You are both out of work and out of school and not planning to go to school in 2026.

  • You are allowed to work in Canada and have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) and able to show proof.

  • You are a Canadian citizen, a Permanent Resident, a protected person or a convention refugee and able to show proof of your immigration status.

  • You attend one of the information sessions before registering for YouthWorks Opportunties.

18 weeks: 6 weeks training plus access to a 12-week work opportunity

When you join YouthWorks Opportunities, you get certifications in:

  • Conflict Resolution and Communication

  • Standard First Aid/CPR Level C-AED

  • Customer Service Excellence (otec.org)
